Helen qualified as a primary school teacher in 1994, and has taught in a wide variety of large and small schools in London and Essex. She left her last teaching post in April 2023. Since then, Helen has worked in local schools throughout the districts of Tendring and Colchester as a supply teacher, enabling her to keep up to date with local and national developments in education. She has also undertaken further training and professional development during this time.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Full Paediatric First Aid Certificate (April 2023).
• Autism Awareness in Education Certificate (May 2023).
• Former Acting Deputy Head, KS1 and EYFS Lead.
• Trained to deliver Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds, Phonics International and Jolly Phonics.
• Experienced with teaching White Rose Maths and Power Maths (Pearson).
• An advocate for mental health and well-being using mindfulness, and fun, active, and engaging activities.
