I qualified as a primary school teacher in 1994, and have taught in a wide variety of large and small schools in London and Essex. I left my last teaching post in April 2023. I have continued to work in local schools throughout the districts of Tendring and Colchester as a supply teacher, enabling me to keep up to date with local and national developments in education. I have also undertaken further training and professional development during this time.

• Full Paediatric First Aid Certificate (April 2023).

• Former Acting Deputy Head, KS1 and EYFS Lead.
• Trained to deliver Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds, Phonics International and Jolly Phonics.
• Experienced with teaching White Rose Maths and Power Maths (Pearson).
• An advocate for mental health and well-being using mindfulness, and fun, active, and engaging activities.
